SEEKING FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD

 

My friends this is a brief article about seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.  The Bible says in the book of Matthew 6:33, "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."  Seeking after God, as Abraham did, initiates you into a new order, new fellowship, and new relationship with God.  When you obey, observe and act in accordance with the word, "all other things are mysteriously made available to you with ease."  It is an expression and activation of God's covenant.  He does not break His covenant and the above is a covenant, when complied upon, all benefits are forthwith released.  

  

Seeking God first actually means to trust Him with your life, and with all that you have. It also means to give to God not only when you are rich, happy or well off but also when you have little or nothing. It is an act of worshipping Him and this manner of sacrifice always opens up the gates and doors into God's heart to release miracles toward you. Please learn to give to God and see for yourself how blossoming your life will look like. 

  

When you learn to seek God first before anything else, 3 clear things will undoubtedly happen to you:

 

  1.       Your biggest storms in life will be resolved whether the devil likes it or not. Human life is full of storms and  some are unavoidable. Some are self made sin and guilt, which if not sorted out may lead to hell for eternity.  When we begin to seek God first, we begin to hear correctly what God is saying in His word concerning our storms.  

  2.       You receive peace of mind that nothing can destroy.  God's peace to those who seek Him first is not subject on any circumstances but upon the eternal worth of what Christ did on the cross for us.  It is a permanent peace that does not disappear when storms of life arrive. In Matthew 6:19-20, the LORD promised that the kind of peace associated with those closer to God, both spiritual and physical armed robbers cannot steal them and moth and rust cannot also destroy them.  In John 10:10b, His ways give life more abundantly to anyone who seek after Him first. 

  3.         Seeking God first brings assurance of hope and future in this rough and unpredictable world system. The present world has no guarantee for life and things are getting tougher and rougher. But you can take God's promises to the bank and be certain to cash your cheques.  In Jeremiah 29:11, for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.  There is a guaranteed hope for the future, unfailing love of God in Christ.
