My friends from experience I know that Jesus is the epitome of love like God the Father, but that love in itself cannot save anyone except and unless you seriously seek for it. He gave Himself for the world yet the world did not recognise and receive Him. Jesus is love leading to grace and mercy. I guarantee you that when you decide to jump into the river of grace full of the abundance of love, mercy and grace, you are sure to drop off the old garment of pain, sadness and confusion and come out with a new garment full of love, peace, joy, righteousness, etc.... The RIVER full of GRACE is HIS BLOOD.
In the book of Ephesians 2:4-5, “but God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us; even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).” The above scriptures noted 3 wonderful keys. It expressed the keys of Love, mercy and grace. God is love, mercy and grace and the three work together because out of His love flows mercy and out of mercy comes grace.
MERCY can be said to be, even though you and I deserve punishment for our sins, but God will not give us what we deserve in sin, and GRACE on the other hand can be said to be, God giving you and I, what we do not merit. We actually deserve punishments for our sins but in replacement of our actions, God pardoned us. Obviously, the last thing we would have merited based on the magnitude of our sins, is not salvation but in grace God saved you and I.
Grace is what God does for us, for which nobody can do for us and what we cannot do for ourselves or merit. Grace is a unique and perfect work of God which can never ever be improved upon. God’s grace is perfection, even God Himself cannot improve on it which He demonstrated to us in Jesus Christ on the cross. He said my grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness in 2 Corinthians 12:9.
The love of God made the cross of Jesus Christ possible, but His holiness made it necessary for us to be saved and enjoy our lives. Grace flows out of God’s unfailing love and fully satisfies His holiness. Grace does not minimise the effect of our sin but it is for the possibility for God to accept us, having been deeply dead into sin...Like the prodigal son, the father welcomed him with open hand in Luke 15:11-32.
In the book of Ephesians 1:7, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. The riches of His grace provide the sacrifice for our sins.”
In the book of Ephesians 2:13, “but now in Christ Jesus you and I who once were far off have been made near by the blood of Christ.” The sacrifice is Jesus Christ and the medicine is His Blood. God gave His only begotten Son to atone for our sins; He did this because the Blood of Jesus Christ is the only key that has the capacity to pay for our debt.
In John 14:6, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” There is no other way for salvation and salvation would never have been possible without Jesus Christ and the Blood and that is why God made Him responsible for our sins. Our sins, guilts and punishments were placed upon Jesus Christ. His Blood is the ultimate sacrifice and His atoned death on the cross became our substitute.
Grace alone brings hope for us and because salvation is by the free grace of God in Jesus Christ, there is hope for you. We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God as noted in the book of Romans 3:23-24, but only His Grace is able to deliver us from sin. This is the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the book of Ephesians 2:8-9, “for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Grace comes to us through faith. You are not saved by faith but through faith. It is the channel by which the saving grace of God comes to you. The channel of faith answers to the light of the gospel‘s truth that God brings to our hearts and minds, as John 8:32 “and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
God is inviting you to come to Him today for your salvation. He solidified this invitation by giving His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to pay the price of your sins. His grace has provided all the means for you to be saved, delivered, healed and restored. I guarantee you that when you decide to get into the river of grace full of His abundant love, mercy and grace, you are sure to drop off the old garments and come out with new garments.
