THE BLOOD OF JESUS AND ITS IMPORTANCE TO YOU

Beloved, there is power in the blood of Jesus. This year, whatever that confronts or contends with you, you must never hesitate to invoke the greatest weapon of warfare in your possession, ‘the blood of Jesus.’

WHAT DOES THE BLOOD OF JESUS DO FOR YOU?

The blood of Jesus does seven vital things for you when get in contact with it and genuinely activated.

1. REDEMPTION:

By the blood of Jesus you have redemption. You are redeemed out of the hand and power of Satan and his cohorts as noted in Ephesians 1:7, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” AND ALSO AS NOTED IN Hebrews 9:12, ““Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.”.

2. FORGIVENESS:

By the blood of Jesus all your sins are forgiven, if you confess them. It does not matter the magnitude of sins, murderer, armed robber, kidnapper, terrorist, adulterer, fornicator, wicked activator, etc, when you surrender and confess to the name ’Jesus’ as your personal ‘LORD and SAVIOUR’ all your sins are wiped out. And as you continue to walk in your new light with Jesus, His blood will continue to cleanse you towards perfection from all your sins as noted 1 John 1:7-9, “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ”

3. JUSTIFICATION:

By the blood of Jesus you are justified, made righteous, just like you have never sinned before. You are cleansed, cleared, justified from all sins, and declared not guilty. You are now clothed with the garment of His righteousness as noted in Romans 5:9, “Much more then , having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” If you trust Jesus Christ, and stick with Him, you automatically become in Christ all that God requires you to be, all that you could never be in yourself as noted in 2 Corinthians 5:21, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

4. ACCESS TO GOD

By the blood of Jesus you have automatic access into the presence of God at any time of the day or night to obtain mercy and help, especially in this teething time, when the time of need is very urgent as noted in Hebrews 10:19-20, “Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh.”

5. SANCTIFICATION:

By the blood of Jesus you are sanctified. You are made holy and set apart for God and not for the world anymore as noted in Hebrews 13:12, “Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate.”

6. CLEANSED FROM ALL GUILT:

By the blood of Jesus your conscience is cleansed from all guilt and you are free in body, mind, soul and spirit to serve the LORD Jesus Christ without any impediment or baggage as noted in Hebrews 9:14, “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleansed your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? ”;

AND ALSO AS NOTED IN 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

7. VICTORY OVER THE DEVIL:

By the blood of Jesus you have victory over the devil and his agents, and you become an over-comer by the word of your testimony without fear of death as noted in Revelation 12:11, “And the overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

IMPORTANCE OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS TO YOU

Beloved, there is a difference between the blood of the Old Testament and of the New Testament. The Old Testament was a shadow of the real deal, the New Testament. In the Old Testament, the high priest entered the Most Holy Place each year to carry out animal blood sacrifice by sprinkling the blood of the animal before the Ark of the Covenant, which symbolized presence of God. This prophetic act was a temporary way of making atonement for the nation before God, for all the sin of the nation during the year. The Bible gives the importance of this act in the book of Leviticus 17:11, “For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.”

Beloved, from this Scripture, two important things come to mind.

1. That the blood of sacrifice is a divine command and provision from God (HE commanded and provided it to be used); He says, ‘I have given it to you.’

2. The use of blood in sacrifice is a price-paying act: That is to make atonement or reconcile; It means to make amends for or to pay the penalty of. In all these, sin is the problem and the blood is the redemption price which ransoms or buys us back from the consequence of sin which is death. The blood of the animal pays the price which temporarily cancels the offence of sin; so life is forfeited or laid down in payment for sin.

Beloved, it is important to note that the Old Testament way of using animal blood sacrifice for atonement is only a temporary act that only covers the sin and does not remove it permanently. It was a shadow of the real deal to come, the blood of Jesus.

However, Jesus Christ came as a sinless offering that shed His own blood by given His own life, so that anyone who believes in Him and confesses Him as LORD and SAVIOUR does not need to die for his or her own sin. He made a way for our sins to be wiped out by His blood. He paid the price for our sins and obtained eternal redemption by His death on the cross as noted in Colossians 1:13-14, “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”

He did this only once and not yearly because God set this as the ransom price for men. This was the cost necessary for us to become sinless in God’s sight as noted in Hebrews 9:22, “According to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.”

Our God is a God of mercy and justice. He set up the judgment for sin as death, and without any doubt, He paid the ransom price by sending His own Son Jesus Christ into the world to shed His blood and die for us. If anyone accepts Jesus as LORD and SAVIOUR then the person can avail himself or herself of this work and be rescued out of the kingdom of darkness and become part of the kingdom of God.
