4. WHY IS JESUS THE SUBSTITUTE FOR MY LIFE PART4
My friends, this is part 4 of the life changing article. I would once again remind you that your ability to appreciate what our LORD Jesus Christ did on the Cross of Calvary will enable you to acquire greater steps ahead of the enemies. When He Crossed-over from life-to-death-and-back-on-to-life, ‘He took all bad things upon Himself and released all good things to me, that is the substitute. Your ability to appreciate HIM will empower you to obtain victory over every circumstance that faces you. This article is personalized to suit me, Apostle A Barango and I believe that you too can also appropriate it to suit your identity. JESUS IS THE SUBSTITUTE FOR MY LIFE. There are numerous reasons why Jesus is the substitute for my life, if you have followed the trends of the previous articles parts 1, 2, 3. He did what my father, mother, wife, children, brother, sister, relatives, friends, et cetera could not have done for me. Therefore, I am not ashamed to proclaim Jesus Christ on the housetop as the SUPER POWER of God for my salvation. I am not ashamed to teach Him, preach Him and declare Him. Freely I receive and freely I give. I am proud to be a born again believer. Praise God! Hallelujah.
1. JESUS WAS MADE A CAPTIVE THAT I MIGHT BE DELIVERED FROM BONDAGE.
In the book of John 18:12, "Then the detachment of troops and the captain and officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound Him."
Furthermore, in the book of Isaiah 53:8, "He was taken from prison and from judgment, and who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgressions of My people He was stricken."
Again, in the book of Luke 4:18-19, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to preach the acceptable year of the LORD." He set me free from dead works to serve the living God. Praise God! Hallelujah.
2. JESUS SHED HIS BLOOD THAT I MIGHT BE WASHED AS WHITE AS SNOW.
In the book of Isaiah 1:18, "Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
Furthermore, in the book of Revelation 7:14, "And I said to him, Sir, you know. So he said to me, These are the ones who came out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." My friends, because of Jesus, I have my robes washed and made white by His blood.
3. JESUS WAS MADE WEAK THAT IN HIM I MIGHT BE MADE STRONG
In the book of 2 Corinthians 13:4, "For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you."
Furthermore, in the book of 2 Corinthians 12:10, "Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong." My friend, my life is changed because of Jesus and He has made my blood strong enough to withstand any obstacles that confront me. Praise God..Hallelujah.
4. JESUS SUFFERED THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS IN HELL FOR MY SAKE TO PREVENT ME FROM UNDERGOING THE SECOND DEATH, THE LAKE OF FIRE.
The Bible says in the book of Matthew 12:40, "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."
Furthermore in the book of Acts 2:27, "Because You will not leave my soul in Hades, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption."
Also, in the book of Revelation 20:14-15, "Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." My friends, because of Jesus I am saved from my ignorance. I would have, ignorantly walked into the second death, the lake of fire. Praise God, Hallelujah
5. JESUS WAS CONDEMNED THAT I MIGHT BE FORGIVEN.
In the book of Mark 14:64, "You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think? And they all condemned Him to be worthy of death."
Furthermore, in the book of Ephesians 1:7, "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace."
Again, the Bible says in the book of Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." My friend, because of Jesus, I am free from self-condemnation, redeemed and forgiven of all my sins. Praise God! Hallelujah.
